Parish Council Press Statement

Friday 2nd August 2019

Fulford Parish Council maintains its view that the multiple changes are in fact highly material and that neighbouring residents should have been consulted before the application was approved. It was also gratified at the decision to permit the appeal as this clearly demonstrated that the case had sufficient merit to be considered. The Parish Council was therefore disappointed with the Judgment of the Court of Appeal and is saddened that the detrimental changes to the Germany Beck scheme will be allowed to proceed.

The Parish Council will continue to work constructively with the Council and Persimmon Homes in order to achieve the best outcome for all residents of Fulford as the scheme evolves.

The Parish Council wishes to thank all the residents who have supported the legal action over the past few months and it also extends a very warm welcome to all current and future homeowners of the Germany Beck development.
