The Fulford Tapestry and Finds from the 1066 Battle of Fulford On Display

This is your chance to see the Fulford Tapestry in its place of origin before it travels to Bayeux.
For the first time 7 cabinets of finds from the battle will be displayed including a sword, axe and arrow. Come along for an opportunity to handle some of the finds and to ask questions.
The Fulford tapestry and finds will be on display from 6pm to 8.30pm. A talk by Chas Jones will start at 7pm describing how the site of the battle was identified.All residents are warmly invited to this free event and there is no need to book.
There is an additional event at Barclays Bank, 1-3 Parliament Street, York on the 16th February from 9am to 17th February at 4pm as part of the Jorvik Viking Festival. Please use the following url for full details:
