Parish Council Role in the Planning Process

Parish Councils are statutory consultees in the planning process and must be informed of all planning applications and amendments to those planning applications within the parish.  The Parish Council may comment or object to a planning application in the same way as any member of the public may comment or object but the Parish Council’s response must be agreed by the council as a formal decision of the council.
