FULFORD CEMETERY is a working cemetery, providing burial services for the whole of the York area. During the Coronavirus Pandemic each weekday morning between 8am and 12.30pm has been reserved for burials, burial preparations and post-burial works. To ensure that the maximum number of 30 attendees can be monitored and maintained and to protect burial attendees, funeral services staff, cemetery employees and visitors, no visitors are permitted into the cemetery grounds between 8am and 12.30pm on weekdays.

Open to visitors - Monday to Friday 12.30pm to 8:00pm in Summer (1st April to 30th September)
Open to visitors - Weekends & Bank Holidays 8:00am - 8:00pm in Summer (1st April to 30th September)
Open to visitors - Monday to Friday 12:30pm to 5:00pm in Winter (1st October to 31st March)
Open to visitors - Weekends & Bank Holidays 8:00am - 5:00pm in Winter (1st October to 31st March)
ALL VISITORS TO FULFORD CEMETERY GROUNDS MUST MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCING AT ALL TIMES DURING THEIR VISITS.
In the event of a funeral, other visitors are requested to maintain an additional respectful distance from funeral attendees and Cemetery staff.
Please note that the only vehicles currently permitted within the Cemetery Grounds (outside of pre-booked appointments for Blue Badge Holders), are Funeral Directors' hearses in the course of a funeral or Stonemason's work vehicles in the course of essential stonemason works.
Pre-Booked Appointments for vehicles are available for Blue Badge Holders by calling or emailing the Cemetery Superintendent at least one day in advance. There are two appointments available per weekday, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
During the current pandemic, visitors are reminded that social gatherings are not permitted and there will be an increased Police presence in the area for the time being.
